HOT HOT HOT

It has been really hot here, records set every day now 50 days in a row temper is rising. Alice I think is showing of pregnancy she looks bigger than she was. I am looking forward to some little piggies.

Alice

Albert and Alice was making bacon back in Feb. 2010. I am not sure, but Alice is seam to be with piggies. She is showing some signs like tiredness and not eating as much as she was. I will keep an update on here.

Hogs desert

I feed the hogs some pears today they went hog wild, guess that is where the saying came from.

Rainy Day

We had a very wet day today at least 3" of rain.

The 4 A's hogs, that's because their names all start with a letter A. In order as I acquired them is Arnold (Pine wood wild boar) solid black in color. Alice (Portland China, female) white with black spots. Annie ( Potbelly and Pine woods, female) solid black. Albert (Tamworth boar, reddish with white spot on back in rear) Hope this is a help.

Feeding Albert

I was feeding he hogs the other day some plumbs. Albert bite my finger at the base of the nail. It really hurt, I though he had bit it off totally.

Rats!

I have been lucky, I have caught 4 rats so far. And still luring them.

4th of July Celebration of Independence Day

We had a cook out and watch a good movie, very small gathering. The Hogs layed around all day, the weather was nice, a good breeze blowing. I have not seen the Rats since I put out the trap. Hope they are gone back into the woods. We watch the Fireworks on TV from our easy chair. No traveling and traffic to deal with. Seen it all before all looks the same, year after year.

I have found 2 big rats in my hog pen dens. I set a trap to catch them, I will make a photo of them when I do catch them and post the pic. I was going to show the trap with a pic but it started to rain when I set the trap out.

Welcome back!

Yes, I was away for awhile due to a medical problem. Welcome back to my blog. Albert and Alice hooked up yesterday and may see some piglets soon. I hope it worked this time. Thankyou for visiting my blog.

My Internet service has been down for a month. I order new service from an other suppler. Now hope to keep my blog up to date.

I have been real bad off sick with the flu. Not spending any time out side either. The Hogs, I have some one taking care of them until I am able to.

Easter Sunday!

Had dinner with my Brother and Family, was a good day. I am sick again run a fever and up set stomach. Bad old cold.

Great Idea!

I wear rubber boots around the Hog farm and my feet stink when I take them off. So I tried to do something about the smell. I thought of putting Drier Sheets in my boots, It works my feet smell good now. If you wear boots try it and see what I am telling you.
